Well, this is it.
Six months ago I applied on a whim to be a camp counselor. Three months ago I got the word that I was accepted. This decision was born more out of a desire to get out of the house than to actually minister to kids for a summer. Yet, through this hasty decision, God has really prepared and conditioned my heart to really be excited for what this summer holds. And now, I leave in an hour to go....

Some Callers are Proper Dementor: A man calls a...
Me: “Okay sir, so you’re Victor Krumm?”
Caller: “Yep, that’s me.”
Me: “Sorry this might sound funny, but did you know that there’s a book series called Harry Potter with a character with that name?”
(There’s a pause, as if he’s thinking, and suddenly he yells.)
Caller: “THE MUGGLES KNOW!”
(He hangs up. His wife calls a little while later to actually schedule.)

I have learned.....
I’ve learned- that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them. I’ve learned- that no matter how much I care, some people just don’t care back. I’ve learned- that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it. I’ve learned- that no matter how good a friend is, they’re going to hurt you every once in a...

Becoming "Undragoned"
Well the past is playing with my head And failure knocks me down again I’m reminded of the wrong That I have said and done And that devil just wont let me forget In this life I know what I’ve been But here in your arms I know what I am I’m forgiven I’m forgiven And I don’t have to carry The weight of who I’ve been Cause I’m forgiven My mistakes are running through my mind And I’ll...

Women Judging Women
“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble…” 1 Peter 5:5 (NIV) How differently might our lives be if we women didn’t have to fear the harsh criticisms of other women? Might we be willing to step out a little bolder for Jesus? Might we be willing to be a little more vulnerable? Might we live our lives a little less guarded? Oh sweet sisters, women judging other women must absolutely...

La Mer.
La mer Qu’on voit danser le long des golfes clairs A des reflets d’argent La mer Des reflets changeants Sous la pluie La mer Au ciel d’ete confond Ses blancs moutons Avec les anges si purs La mer bergere d’azur Infinie Voyez Pres des etangs Ces grands roseaux mouilles Voyez Ces oiseaux blancs Et ces maisons rouillees La mer Les a berces Le long des golfes clairs Et...

Eras I wished I lived in:
Rome during the time of the early church (once a Latin student, always a Latin student…) Italy during the Renaissance New England during the Colonial Era Kent, during the Regency Era (I mean, let’s just face it: this era brought us Darcy, Knightly, Wentworth, Tinley, Brandon, Ferrars, and Bertram. Need I say more?) London, during the Victorian Era “Out west,” during...

Why is it that the most hateful Tumblr comments are posed by Anons? If you’re going to have an opinion, please, have one! I welcome them! But don’t hide under the cloak of anonymity. Are you so unsure of your opinions and questions that you won’t tack your name on to them? I’m tired of seeing my Tumblr friends be bashed and put down by people too cowardly to insult them to...

seantheflynnflynn asked: Hey, kelsey, first off i am a disciple of Christ as well! (Yay, Jesus) and secondly, this is not really a question, but more of a "props".....Alot of christians or people who call themselves christian, have a really HARD time explaining what Christ is to them, and alot of the time they get confused, and trip over their words, even questioning what they THEMSELVES believe... It was an...

iamsavingtheuniverse asked: Just going to say... I read your mission statement and you absolutely wrote out my feelings. I've always had that feeling that I wanted to leave a legacy and save the world! Its been a hard revelation for me to realize that small things matter too, because I'm such a big picture person. But you're right, Jesus did small things- He simply loved people.

Its blessed me...

Anonymous asked: So you believe that every other religion is wrong, yet one of the main tags for your "Calling all Christians" post is "Tolerance." Tolerance is something that you are a hypocrite of. The Christian way is to love god, your neighbor and love yourself. And how do you even know there is a heaven or a god or that Christianity is even the "way?" I suggest that reconsider...

Calling all Christians...
You need to hear this. If you claim Yahweh is Lord and Jesus rose from the dead on the third day, there is no room for other religions to be right. Christ is the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE (John 14:6). I’m tired of seeing “Christians” claim that other religions might lead you to heaven and a relationship with the Father. If you’re a Christian, you MUST believe the Bible...

Riddles.
1. A man walks into a bar and asks for a drink of water. The bartender thinks for a minute, pulls out a gun and points it at him. The man says, “Thank you,” and walks out.  2. There was once a recluse who never left his home. The only time anyone ever visited him was when his food and supplies were delivered, but they never came inside. Then, one storm winter night when an icy gale...

Just a thought...
If sin was eliminated and perfection established on earth…..would there be individualism? Osea, would people have unique personalities? I’ve been pondering this question for a while….
